Horse chestnut balm for varicose veins – preparation and usage:
This balm for varicose veins as natural cure can be prepared in a simple way, available for everyone. In the autumn, it is necessary to collect 10 bigger pieces of horse chestnut, than grind it finely and put it in small jar. After that, horse chestnut should be overflowed with 2dl of alcohol (it is even better if it can be overflowed with Komovi brandy). The jar filled with this content should stay on the sun for 7 weeks.
After this period of time, obtained mixture or balm should be strained, poured in the small bottle and rubbed in the affected places on the body, on regular daily basis.
Marigold for Varicose Veins
Natural cream of marigold is effective home remedy that can helps in case of varicose veins. This cream is recommended when phlebitis appears, with or without wounds.
Cream of Marigold for Varicose Veins
Collect two handful of marigold (flowers, leaves or stems), and chop it finely. Then put 500gr of pork fat in the middle-size vessel and heat it to the high temperature. When the fat is heated up to the maximum, pour the chopped marigold and keep it on the stove up to the boiling point. Stir it after that and remove from the stove. Put the cover on the vessel and keep it through the night on the room temperature. The day after, mixture of pork fat and chopped marigold should be gently warmed only to the temperature to allow to be easily strained.
Obtained natural cream of marigold as natural cure for the treatment of varicose veins should be poured in the proper vessel and applied regulary on the affected places of the body, several times per day.
Note: The best effect in healing varicose veins can be achieved in the combination of cream made out from marigold and horse chestnut; in a way of treating sick places first with the cream of marigold and after few minutes (when the skin is ready for new application of cream) with the balm of horse chestnut. In this way, thanks to the cream of marigold, the skin is protected from drying and there is real possibility to achieve better results in healing varicose veins. It is much better than independent consuming of horse chestnut as natural cure because of possibility of alcohol irritation from horse chestnut.
Cabbage for Varicose Veins
Leaves of fresh cabbage as natural cure are the best compress for the treatment of phlebitis. For this type of compress is necessary to obtain big, fresh piece of cabbage (to achieve proper cover area with one piece of cabbage around the sick place). Put fresh pieces of cabbage directly on varicose veins, and bind it with thin and elastic piece of fabric. This compress should be kept on veins until the cabbage got dried. After it, is recommended to put another fresh piece of cabbage.
The speed activity of changing pieces of fresh cabbage depends on several factors: size and freshness of the cabbage, year season when it is put on varicose veins and degree of inflammation. It is especially important to keep the cabbage on the varicose veins even during the night.
Comfrey for Phlebitis
Fresh, scraped root of comfrey used as a compress is always useful for all problems with the veins and circulation, too. When fresh comfrey is missing, tincture of comfrey can be used instead of it. It prospers regeneration of tissues, also. The tincture of comfrey proves to be good in the combination with oil from cantarion herb (St. John’s Wort), in fight against the phlebitis. Even more effective is tincture of St. John’s Wort.
